2nd Annual Indianapolis Walk
for Children with Apraxia
Sunday, September 21, 2014
Ben Davis University
From the Walk Coordinator:
"This is our 2nd year to coordinate the walk for the Indianapolis Area. Our son Jackson was diagnosed at the age of 3 and because of the dedication he has shown along with his therapists he has become a HUGE success story of apraxia!!! I am happy to report that he is excelling at school and his speech is up to 80% intelligible! We will always focus on bringing apraxia awareness to the area and that is why we are happy to come back this year for a 2nd time to coordinate the Walk! We really enjoyed meeting all the families last year and hearing everyone's individual stories! We will always be dedicated to "Giving Every Child a Voice"!!
The walk is being held to benefit the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA). All proceeds will benefit apraxia research and programs."
Important Update: Online registration is officially closed as of Friday September 19th at 8:00 AM EST. On site registration will be available on the Walk day starting at 2:00PM. Please note registration for adults will be $25, and $12 for children.
IMPORTANT - Did you register a child with apraxia of speech? If so, please e-mail the following: child's first and last name, child's age, and your Walk name to Justin LeWinter at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 10, 2014. We have a special gift to present to each child on the day of the Walk and want to make sure we have enough! Thanks!
