Day of Volunteer  Planning Team Volunteer

Why volunteer?

It’s fun. It’s rewarding. And you’ll meet some truly incredible people when you volunteer. The success of the event depends heavily on the support we receive from volunteers in the months leading up to the Walk.

Who can volunteer?

Fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals who are willing to contribute to the success of the Walk. If you want to help, we guarantee we can find a place for you! Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer.

Volunteer and Raise Funds - the Best of Both Worlds

Volunteers can raise money too! When you register online, you have access to a Participant Center where you can set a fundraising goal, update your personal webpage to share your story with others, e-mail supporters, and track your progress!

When can you volunteer?

There are a few ways you can volunteer for the Walk. For more information or to sign up, contact the contact apraxiawalk@apraxia-kids.org

What can I do to help?

No matter how many hours you have available, we need your help. To learn about volunteering in your area, contact the Walk Coordinator. There are many different opportunities that exist including:

  • Logistics- Help keep the Walk costs down by soliciting donated items, such as food and water, and in-kind services such as photography.
  • Recruitment - Grow the Walk by recruiting new business sponsors and fundraising teams.
  • Day of Event- Walk Setup, Clean Up, Registration, Greeters, Food
  • Marketing- Help spread the word! See below for some of the tools to help us raise even greater awareness.
