We're participating in this year's Walk for Apraxia. Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a rare motor speech disability that makes it difficult for children to speak. Children with apraxia generally have a good understanding of language and know what they want to say. However, they have difficulty learning or carrying out the complex sequenced movements that are necessary for intelligible speech. Since it's a neuromotor disorder, children with CAS often have difficulty developing fine and gross motor skills more generally.

Apraxia Kids is the leading nonprofit that strengthens the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by providing support to families and professionals.
