Have you ever heard of Apraxia? What about Apraxia of Speech?

We hadn't until our son, NOAH, received his Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) diagnosis. It's a type of neurological disorder that affects speech. Someone with Apraxia knows exactly what they want to say, but they have difficulty facilitating those thoughts into words sounds and words. Because of this, Noah uses sign language and his "talker" (AAC Device) to effectively communicate.
