Everett was 3 years old when he was diagnosed with CAS.

He's our little gem, he's beautiful and brilliant. With every passing day, and a little elbow grease, he continues to grow, polish, and refine his speech. He continues to shine brighter and brighter!  

We walk to support no only Everett, but all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech - our Apraxia Stars. We want to show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives. Everett works very hard every day to communicate. 

We also walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children, like Everett, with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
