This Fall our family will be walking for a an organization that is near and dear to our hearts; Apraxia Kids.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a rare motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to speak. Children with this diagnosis generally have a good understanding of language and what they want to say. However, they have difficulty carrying out the complex sequenced movements that are necessary for intelligible speech. It requires intensive therapy with specialists that is often not covered by insurance.

Apraxia Kids has helped Paige and our family throughout this difficult journey. They provide resources to help Apraxic kids, like Paige, to strengthen support systems, educate professionals and families, and facilitate community engagement and outreach.

We believe that “Every Child Deserves a Voice” and invite you to participate in this fundraiser with us. Whether that is walking with us, or providing a donation. Your donations will help create a future for more children, where they can find the care and resources they need.
