I'm excited to share that I'm participating in the Walk for Apraxia this year to support all the amazing children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), including my cousin's awesome son and one of the inspiring kids I have worked with at All About Speech and Language. CAS is a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to plan and coordinate the movements needed for speech. Even though they often know what they want to say, their brains have trouble telling their mouths how to say it, which can make communicating a real challenge.
These incredible children work so hard every day to overcome these challenges, and their strength and determination are truly inspiring. I want them to know they're never alone on this journey.
I'm also walking to raise funds for Apraxia Kids, an organization that does incredible work supporting families, professionals, and communities. They provide the education, resources, and advocacy needed to help children with CAS find their voices and thrive.
I would love your support in reaching my fundraising goal! Whether you make a donation or join our team, your contribution will make a big difference in the lives of these amazing kids.
Together, we can make sure that every child has the opportunity to be heard! :)
