We are so excited to join the walk for Apraxia kids this year in Orlando!
We noticed a speech development struggle when Lucy was 1.5 yrs old. Now, at age 4 yrs, she has been working so hard in her apraxia journey. Her brain has to work twice as hard to process what she wants to say. I walk to advocate for not only my daughter but for all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech to show they are not alone and acknowledge all of the hard work they do. It's hard as a mother to feel that your child is left out or forgotten just because she may not communicate the same as others. I walk to help give my child a voice and for her to know that we will continue our journey, one sound at a time!
I walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!Do you believe, “Every Child Deserves a Voice?”
Together we can accomplish amazing things for our Apraxia Stars.
