Why I walk for Apraxia Kids....

I walk to support my 4-year-old son, Luca, who is diagnosed with apraxia of speech. Luca is our sweet, kind, and sensitive little Apraxia Star! It is important to show Luca and all other apraxia stars that they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives. 

Our family is walking to raise funds to support the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
