2021 Seattle Walk for Apraxia (Virtual)

Team Jack

We are so excited to be participating in the Walk for Apraxia for a 4th year! It is a highlight of our year, and we are always so appreciative of the support we receive.

This has been a big year for Jack already. He started kindergarten and is doing so well! Jack loves his family, YouTube, video games, and animals. His favorite animals are turtles and weiner dogs. Jack is as sweet as they come, and always tries his hardest. Speech is a huge part of his journey. For anyone who is not yet familiar with Apraxia, it is a neurological speech disorder that makes it challenging to speak. Children with Apraxia know exactly what they want to say but often don't have the complex sequenced movements that are necessary for intelligable speech. Apraxia can never be outgrown, but can be overcome with hard work and preserverance.

Please consider joining our team and/or making a donation. With these donations, Apraxia Kids will continue to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with Apraxia. They do so by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
