Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia.
Our family is walking with Ethan's Dream Team! I hope you can join us in D.C. (one of MY favorite places), donate to our team, or share my Apraxia Kids Walk for Apraxia fundraising page!
Ethan, who has apraxia of speech, is my friend Jennifer's son. He has had to work super-duper hard to learn how to speak over the years. His parents and many therapists ($$$) and teachers ( <3 ) have worked with him to help reach his speech goals. The best part about the walk this year is that Ethan's mom, Jennifer Thompson, my friend since childhood, is organizing and running it! She is a hard worker, and I know it will be an amazingly fun and family-friendly day. Hope to see you there!
By the way, my second favorite part of last year's walk after walking with Ethan, was walking around D.C. and going in museums where multiple people asked us to explain to them what the Apraxia Kids Walk was after seeing our t-shirts. I loved being able to educate others!
I Walk for Apraxia to show my support for children in my community with apraxia, our shining stars. I Walk to show these stars they are not alone.
Every dollar raised helps support Apraxia Kids. I believe in the work Apraxia Kids does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential.
I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.
