After being diagnosed in the 90s when very little was known about Apraxia of Speech, I walk today to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech-our beloved Apraxia Stars-and their families.
It is very easy to feel alone on this Apraxia Journey, but walks like these and the Apraxia Kids Non-Profit as a whole are vital in providing support and resources to these kids and their families as they navigate these Apraxia Waters-between insurance, speech therapy coverage, and general research. It's a lot to take in and something that no family should endure alone.
I walk to raise these funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids-to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation now or by joining our team. You, too, can make an impact for children and families affected by apraxia!
Afterall, every child deserves a voice.
