Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia.
I Walk for Apraxia to show my support for children in my community with apraxia, our shining stars. I Walk to show these stars they are not alone.
Every dollar raised helps support Apraxia Kids. I believe in the work Apraxia Kids does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential.
I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
From the moment Ansley was born, I could tell she was someone unique. At first her pediatrician and I brushed off her late laughing and delayed babbles as slow, yet normal, development. When she was 18 months she was referred to CHOA for speech therapy and at 2 and a half she was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. My world changed and life looked different for us. Apraxia Kids was the first google search result and has helped carry me through the years, and eventually I found their Facebook groups for support. I found hope, I saw a bright future, and I had a community full of knowledge and support. Please join me for fundraising so CAS families have access to support, and join us for the Atlanta walk so Ansley can see and feel your support!
