Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia.

I Walk for Apraxia to show my support for children in my community with apraxia, our shining stars. I Walk to show these stars they are not alone.  

As many of you know our Taylor has struggled with Apraxia for years.  She has come a long way and is doing great.  There was a time when I feared she would not be able to say her own name, or call me mom, read a book, sing a song, or just tell me how she feels.  Obviously she has been working hard with ongoing Speech therapy and her unbelievable strength to never give up!  She is one of the most affectionate/strong people I will ever know.  I sit in admiration of my own child knowing that she has already accomplished so much and there is no telling what she will do next. She is reading so well now, and she loves to sing and tell us about her day.  She still struggles with apraxia as she probably always will, but I know with her determination and help of all her family and friends she will thrive and achieve!  She is so excited to do this walk, help other kids just like her find their voice, and help educate others of this disorder.

Every dollar raised helps support Apraxia Kids. I believe in the work Apraxia Kids does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential. 

I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, (Taylor was lucky and had a speech therapist help us in this process) but so many children struggle with getting a device,  parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs. Speech therapy is often limited in sessions, and limited coverage for some.
