Welcome to our team fundraising page for the Chicago 2019 Walk for Apraxia. The A Team is geared up and ready to raise money for this important cause!
As many of you know, Alex was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech in April of 2018. Since then Alex has been working extremely hard in all of his therapies. We are VERY proud of the progress he is making and even more proud of all of his hard work! We have decided to join Apraxia Kids Walk for Apraxia to show our support for the only organization that is pioneering research, along with providing grants and scholarships to families for therapy and conferences.
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech is among the rarest, most severe, and complex speech disorders impacting children
- Proper treatment is intensive, specialized speech therapy which can be extremely difficult for families to find for their children
- Specialized understanding and training of speech professionals is needed to optimize outcomes for children
Every dollar raised helps support Apraxia Kids. We believe in the work Apraxia Kids does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with Apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential.
We’re helping children find their voice! We need your help! By joining us, you are a partner with Apraxia Kids in its efforts to provide support to children and families on their journey with Apraxia.
Would you please consider making a donation? Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.
P.J., Danica, Alex, Teddy
