Welcome family and friends to my personal fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia!
This is my sweet baby boy, Ben! I was heartbroken to learn Ben had Apraxia a year ago at the age of 2. I can remember how sad and confused I was at the time and still thinking in the back of my head, "He will grow out of it". Unfortunately that is not the case. My child can only make progress through intense Speech Therapy. While Ben has gone from Severe CAS to Moderate CAS there isn't a day that goes by that I don't wonder what his future will look like. Through research and knowledge sharing by professionals and parents, I have hope. I am amazed to see how many children are affected by this!! That is why I am walking my first Apraxia walk this year, to help Ben and other children find their voice. Join our team and walk with us! Donate if you can't walk! Anything and everything is helpful! Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
I Walk for Apraxia to show my support for children in my community with apraxia, our shining stars. I Walk to show these stars they are not alone.
Every dollar raised helps support Apraxia Kids. I believe in the work Apraxia Kids does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential.
Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.
