Strollin for Nolan

Welcome to our team fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia.

We’re helping children find their voice! We need your help!  By joining us, you are a partner with Apraxia Kids in its efforts to provide support to children and families on their journey with apraxia. You can participate even if you are unable to be at the Walk by making a donation to support our efforts.

Check out how our team is progressing towards its goal and keep pushing to help us achieve it. Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.

Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.

About Nolan, our little Apraxia Star

Nolan is going to be 4 years old and the absolute joy of our life! He's taught us to be the best parents we can be and to remember patience is key for everything! He was diagnosed in July of 2018 but we knew something was going on long before then. With the help of his team at Red Door Pediatric Therapy & now Pediatric Partners he has made tremendous leaps and bounds in just over a 2 years as we started speech therapy before the diagnosis. He will be attending BECEP pre-school again this year and gets additional speech therapy and language group in class and LOVES riding the bus!  This fall we will continue the use of the SLP Clinic at UMary for additional therapy opportunities for Nolan.
Nolan's loves our pets especially Mr. Cat. He used to be terrified of them all and he's really come out of his shell! He loves reading Llama Llama Red Pajama, Little Owl's Night and Truck Stop at bedtime! He loves a good live band....dancing is his jam! He also loves to listen and sing to Go Robot by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
He's really come into his role as BIG brother to his twin sisters and loves to show them off!
We can't wait to see how far our little star goes!
