This year's Apraxia Kids Walk will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Clove Lakes Park from 9 AM – 12 PM

Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia. My name is Sofia and I am 14 years old. I have Apraxia of Speech. Many people have never heard of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, until they met me. I may be "non-verbal" but if you listen with your heart, you will hear me. I have a VOICE and I have a message to share. Please just hear me...

I walk for other children with Apraxia of Speech to help give them the recourses and support they need to find their voice. I believe EVERY child deserves a VOICE & thanks to the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association, they can find it. We are the Shining Stars and each year, Staten Islanders come together and celebrate us. I walk with Team Princess Sofia to show that we are Stars that "Shine Bright" and we are not alone! Won't you join me?

Every dollar raised helps support the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association (CASANA). I believe in the work CASANA does to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia so that each child is afforded their best opportunity to develop to their full potential.

I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.

Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.

All my love,
