2019 Detroit Walk for Apraxia

Team Bubbaroo

Welcome to our team fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia.

Our Bubbaroo, Robert, was recently diagnosed with CAS. He goes to speech therapy at the Kaufman Center where we have seen dramatic improvements in a short amount of time. We are very grateful for their skills and approach with CAS. We all work very hard to help Robert improve. We do flash cards, prompts and repeats, some sign language. Robert works very hard to try and communicate with us but is not always able to the way he wants to causing a lot of frustration! He works harder than any of us and we know he will get through this. His hard work will all pay off and we appreciate everyone’s support!

We’re helping children find their voice! We need your help!  By joining us, you are a partner with Apraxia Kids in its efforts to provide support to children and families on their journey with apraxia. You can participate even if you are unable to be at the Walk by making a donation to support our efforts.

Check out how our team is progressing towards its goal and keep pushing to help us achieve it. Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.

Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.
