Welcome to the Team Dylanator fundraising page for the Walk for Apraxia in Orlando on November 23rd!
Dylan was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech when he was 2 years old. He knows the words he wants to say, but the thoughts from his brain get "stuck" on the way to his mouth. He is continuing to make progress with the assistance of Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. Like many other kids with apraxia, speech therapy isn't generally covered, even though these kids need very intensive speech/language therapy services when they are young.
Our hope is for children just like Dylan find their voice and we need your help! By joining us, you are a partner with Apraxia Kids in its efforts to provide support to children and families on their journey with apraxia. You can participate even if you are unable to be at the Walk by making a donation to support our efforts.
Check out how our team is progressing towards its goal and keep pushing to help us achieve it. Your donation goes to fund amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist (SLP) workshops, research, and a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
This year, we are hopeful that every child in the Central Florida region will have an opportunity to join together to be celebrated. We are grateful for every Speech-Language Pathologist, therapist, and therapy center who rallies around these kids they serve.
Thank you again for your support in this very important cause.
