Apraxia Kids Staff

Apraxia Kids is the leading nonprofit that strengthens the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

Our Walk for Apraxia began in 2008 as a way to publicly show support for our stars! Since then, over 100,000 walkers have honored over 8,000 children with apraxia at 793 walks! As a staff, we are proud to join in the movement by both attending and helping coordinate the Pittsburgh Walk for Apraxia!

Our hometown of Pittsburgh is often called the “City of Bridges” as the countless roadways spanning our rivers and streams allow us to connect. Thank you to our community of support here in the ‘Burgh that continues to build bridges – from the North Side to Homewood, from Butler to Cranberry, and everywhere in between, we are grateful to our Pittsburgh walkers and supporters!
