2021 Deschutes County Walk for Apraxia

Every Child Deserves A Voice

At the Walk for Apraxia, we come together not only to celebrate the achievements of our apraxia stars, but to raise funds to support the programs that help our Stars shine. The Walk for Apraxia supports educational opportunities, referral services, awareness, financial aid, support for research, and much more. We are making our apraxia community tighter, stronger, and ready for the road ahead.

Don't forget - registration is now FREE so we encourage you to join today and invite your network to do the same!

Other Information

The Walk for Apraxia is going to look a little different this year! The 2021 Deschutes County Walk for Apraxia will be having an in-person gathering on September 25th at Drake Park. The Walk will operate on a rolling model which means you can come and go whenever you choose within the scheduled window. However, if you’d like to attend the in-person ceremony, please plan to be present at the park at 10:30 AM. We encourage everyone attending in person to observe CDC safety guidelines, including mask wearing for attendees who are not fully vaccinated and sanitizing your hands frequently. We will also be employing safety measures such as contactless registration and only providing prepackaged snacks. There will be plenty of outdoor space to socially distance and safely celebrate with your family while still being surrounded by the support of your local apraxia community!

If you would still prefer to celebrate virtually from the safety of your own home, that's okay too! All registered walkers can still choose to attend virtually by watching the Virtual Ceremony and then celebrating and walking from home. Your safety is our priority - no matter how you choose to participate this year, we are committed to ensuring that each Apraxia Star is honored and celebrated. Please follow the Walk for Apraxia on Facebook, join your local Facebook Event, and check back to this website for updated event information in the months to come.
