At the Walk for Apraxia, we gather to celebrate the achievements of our Apraxia Stars, and to raise funds to support the programs that help our Stars shine. The Walk for Apraxia sustains educational opportunities, awareness, financial aid, support for research, and much more. By joining the Walk, you are making our apraxia community tighter, stronger, and ready for the road ahead.

The 2023 Columbus Walk for Apraxia will be an in-person only event! We are so excited to bring the community together and to celebrate all of the local Apraxia Stars. We will make every effort to provide an event experience that is safe, fun, and memorable for your whole team of supporters! Register as an Individual

When you register as a Team Captain, you become connected to the largest fundraising and awareness event supporting children with apraxia of speech. The funds raised by the Walk for Apraxia help us fulfill our vision of a world where every child with apraxia of speech reaches their highest communication potential.

Team Captains recruit team members which can include family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, and more! A Walk team can be as large or as small as you like, but as a Team Captain you will serve as the leader in rallying your team’s fundraising and awareness efforts.

As a Team Captain you will have access to the following materials to help you in your recruitment and fundraising journey:

A Digital Team Captain Guide with tools and tips on how to set up your fundraising page, recruit team members, and reach fundraising goals
A Digital Team Captain Checklist to help track your progress and guide your activity
Special Team Captain Email Updates to let you know when individuals join and/or donate to your team as well as general coaching emails
A Social Media Guide to help you effectively utilize Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get the word about the Walk for Apraxia and tell your team’s story
An entire Participant Toolkit full of graphics, email templates, wallpapers, fundraising tools and more to support every aspect of your Walk for Apraxia journey
Access to our Team Captains Facebook Group to connect and share ideas with other Team Captains
